Find the total number of ways in which one can wear three distinct rings on the 5 fingers of one’s left hand, given that one is allowed to wear more than one ring on a finger.
There are five places for first ring. The second ring can be worn in 6 ways, for third ring there are 7 ways. Hence, number of ways = 5 ×6×7 = 210 ways.
