B. 17
C. 19
D. 20
Let the cost of an apple , a mango and a banana be A , M and B respectively .
Given that ,
3A + 5M + 8B = 87 —– (1)
5A + 7M + 6B = 121 —– (2)
(2) – (1)
2A + 2M + 2B = 121 – 87 = 34
A + M – B = 17
So , an apple and a mango together cost Rs 17 more than a banana.

Approach:
let the cost of an apple, a mango and a banana be x,y,z respectively
we have,
3x+5y+8z=87……………(1)
5x+7y+6z=121 …………(2)
subtracting (1) from (2), we get
x+y-z=17 which is the required answer.
