Quant Question Of The Day: 74
Geometry
In triangle ABC, BF and CF are angle bisectors meeting at F, and DE is a segment parallel to BC through F. If AB has length 10, BC has length 15, and AC has length 17, what is the perimeter of triangle ADE?
Triangle DFB and Triangle EFC are isosceles triangles .
BD = DF and FE = EC
Hence perimeter of ADE = AE + AC = 10 + 17 = 27 .
See our previous ‘Questions of the Day’:

27. ratio of perimeters of the ADE and ABC is 9:14.
