CAT 2019

• CAT 2019 will be conducted on November 24, 2019 (Sunday) in two sessions.
• Registration for CAT 2019 will open on August 7, 2019 and will close on September 18, 2019.
• CAT 2019 will be conducted in test centres spread across approximately 156 cities.
• Candidates will be given the option to select four test cities in order of preference. Cities and centres will be assigned to the candidates only after the last date for CAT 2019 registration and hence candidates need not rush to block slots and cities in the initial days of registration.
• The concerned authorities will try their best to assign candidates to their first preferred city. In case this is not possible, they will be assigned a city following their given order of preference. In the rare case that a candidate is not allotted any of the preferred cities, he/she will be allotted an alternate city.

About the NMAT:

The NMAT by GMAC™ exam is used for admissions to some of the leading graduate business programmes in India.The score on this exam is accepted by SVKM’s NMIMS (Mumbai, Bangalore, Hyderabad), Xavier University (Bhubaneswar), Shiv Nadar University (Greater Noida), Jindal Global Business school (NCR), among other B-schools.

It is even advisable for all CAT aspirants to take the NMAT once in October, as long as they have completed their classes. This would enable them to get into testing mode.

About XAT:

The Xavier’s Aptitude Test is a national level management aptitude test conducted by Xavier Association of Management Institution on behalf of XLRI. XAT  is usually held in the month of January and over top 150 MBA colleges consider the XAT scores for their management programs. It is the oldest B-school entrance exam of the nation. XAT went online for the first time in January 2018 in its 60 years of legacy. It is the second most important exam after the CAT for management courses in India.

 CAT is a national level MBA entrance exam for admission into the business administration programs of the Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs). Apart from the IIMS, hundreds of other leading business schools such as FMS Delhi, SPJIMR Mumbai, JBIMS Mumbai, MDI Gurgaon, IITs, IMT, IMI, XIMB, TAPMI and others accept the CAT score as the admission criterion.

CAT is an online computer-based test conducted in the month of November/December every year. Approximately 2 lakhs students take the exam for close to 5000 seats.
