## Puzzle of the Day : 13

**Saurav and Dravid play the following game on the board which is a rectangle 1 × 10 divided into 10 consecutive squares. There is a coin on the first square. Each player in his turn can move it forward by one,two or three squares. The winner is the one who finishes first by placing the coin on the last (tenth) square. Saurav starts first. How he should play in order to win regardless of the moves of his opponent?**

Saurav needs to move 1 place ahead (2nd square) to assure his victory.

He should start with “2”

Because the one who puts a coin at 6 will win at any cost

After placing at 2

If other opponent place 1/2/3

Then he has the chance to move 3/2/1 to reach at 6

The one who will reach at 6 first will definitely reach at 10first

To assure his win she should move one step forward

i.e at Box 2

Saurav should move the coin to the 2nd Box in his first move.

In his first move, Saurav should place the coin in the 2nd box.

Saurav should move the coin by 1 square
