There is cube of 6*6*6. It has total 216 small pieces. This cube is broken into 8 smaller cubes of 3*3*3. if the qty of paint needed to paint all of these cubes is 28 litres, then what was the qty of paint required to paint original cube
Answer: 14 litres Solution Surface area of 8 cubes = 8*(3*3*6) = 432 cube units Surface area of original cube = 6*6*6 = 216 cube units hence original cubes need half as much paint. hence 14 litres
