**There are 10 consecutive positive integers written on a blackboard. One number is erased. The sum of remaining nine integers is 2011. Which number was erased?**

Let’s say 10 numbers are n, n + 1,….. and n + 9 and missing number is n + k .

Sum of these 10 numbers = 10n + 45

**Sum of remaining 9 numbers = 9n + 45 – k = 2011**

**9n = 1966+K**

**for RHS to be a multiple of 9, value of K= 5**

**n = 219**

**Hence the missing number is 224.
