Solution for Quant Question of the day: 254

a/(a+b) = b/(a-b)

Let’s divide the entire equation by ‘b’ (let’s say a/b = k)

so k/(k+1) = 1/(k-1)

k(k-1) = (k+1)

k^2-k = k+1

k^2-2k = 1

k^2-2k+1 = 2

(k-1)^2 = 2

k-1 = (2)^0.5

k =1.41+1 = 2.41

hence a/b = 2.41 , so ‘a’ is 241% of ‘b’
