  1. 17

    Approach:
let the cost of an apple, a mango and a banana be x,y,z respectively
    we have,
    3x+5y+8z=87……………(1)
    5x+7y+6z=121 …………(2)

subtracting (1) from (2), we get
x+y-z=17 which is the required answer.
