Let N =123456789…..4344 be the 79-digit number obtained that is formed by writing the integers from 1 to 44 in order, one after the other. What is the remainder when N is divided by 45 ?

    The answer is 9.
    Since, 45 can be split into 9 X 5 as a product of coprimes, and 9 would leave a remainder of 0 with the given integer and 5 would leave a remainder of 4(or minus 1).
    9 is the smallest number that leaves a remainder of 0 with 9 and of 4 with 5.
