**Two of the sides of a scalene triangle are 14 and 16. How many different integral values third side can take?**

**Sum of any two sides of a triangle is always greater than the third side and difference of any two sides is always less than the third side so, **

**16 – 14 < c < 14 + 16.**

**2 < c < 30**

**Scalene triangle means all sides distinct**

**so, 27 possible values but 14 and 16 are not possible**

**so, 25 integral values**
