Hi Ridhima, it is possible for knowledge about isolated phenomana to exist, thus making option 4. a possible answer. But, option 1 does fit best 🙂

The most accurate option is 1. Option 4 is possible but less plausible. Whether the most essential discoveries in science are about isolated phenomena or not can be highly debatable.
Astonishing: extremely surprising or impressive; amazing.
Asinine: extremely stupid or foolish.
Moribund: (of a person) at the point of death; (of a thing) in terminal decline.
Alien: unfamiliar and disturbing or distasteful.
Isolated: remote, single, exceptional
