    1. and 4. don’t make sense since plans that authors have criticized, or expressed severe disapproval of, are likely to not excite scientists and science fiction writers.

    3. fits best.

    Dilettante- a person who cultivates an area of interest, such as the arts, without real commitment or knowledge.

    Traducer- someone who speaks maliciously and falsely of someone; slanders; defames

    Delineate- to describe or portray (something) precisely.

    Aficionado- a person who is very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about an activity, subject, or pastime.
