And
Second thing is all other potrays the negative side whereas 4 terms it delightful
But more preferable according to me is 5
5.
All other statements revolve around the movie, while 5 talks about the director.
5
Reason
Every other point talks about the movie but 5 talks about director
5.
5
5
5
5
Reason – All the rest points talk about the movie and the issue it addresses.
5 talks about the director and not the movie in context
Answer is 5th because the first four talks about the movie “Eighth Grade” but 5th sentence diverts the topic to the director.
5
I regret to inform you all that the answer is 4. It is the only sentence that does not explicitly or implicitly mention the movie depicting the zeitgeist of teenagers today (‘zeitgeist’ refers to the general set of ideas, beliefs and feelings). Kids internalizing violence of school shootings, teens flitting between social media networks, sexual mores of Generation Z- all point to the mentioned theme.
Sentence 5 is about the director and how he is an explorer of a particular subject- the sexual mores of Generation Z. Sentences 1,2 and 3 are also about Generation Z and how the movie Eighth Grade is about it. It is safe to say that Burnham, who is after all the director of the movie under discussion, explores the subject mentioned in sentence 5 through the movie. Therefore, the movie is very much a part of the theme of sentence 5.
I am surprised at myself for having come up with this mind-bender. Not a single correct answer to it. A coincidence that the ‘Question of the Day’ at the half century mark turned out to be a significant one.
Well, I assure you that today’s question is a straight-forward CR question (as straightforward as a CR question can get, anyway 🙂 ). Do give it a shot- http://tathagat.mba/verbal-question-of-the-day-51/
Sir, Please tell how it will make a coherent paragraph without point 4 because pronouns have been used for the movie elsewhere.
3215 is a sequence for a coherent paragraph, Manish.
