According to me, it should be 42531.
Call it the question maker’s bias, Richa, but I didn’t think it was all that tricky. The answer responses received prove otherwise.

Seeing that 4 refers to the earliest point of time, it should be placed first in the sequence of events. 2 succeeds 4 by elaborating on the strategy meeting. 5 has a pronoun reference to 2 (‘this’ was office politics refers to the Chinese CEO cribbing about their Indian operation). 1 continues by stating the Chinese executives’ demands. 3 concludes by describing how the proposal ended.
